Easter 2021 Break Recap: Family Fun & Lots of Memories 🐣

Hi there, and welcome back to #WemsCorner! How was your Easter break? Mine was packed with activities, laughter, and moments to cherish. If you know me (or even if you don’t), I’m all about documenting those little memories. Today, I’m sharing a recap of our action-packed Easter break weekend, filled with family fun, community vibes, and heartwarming moments. Let’s dive in!

Good Friday: My Favourite Twins Celebrations & Park Adventures 🎂
Our Easter weekend started with double the joy—my niece and nephew’s birthday! They’re twins (yes, adorable 😍), and we celebrated with a Zoom party. It was filled with games and laughter (virtual birthday vibes with loads of fun). Later, we headed to the playground in our neighborhood to enjoy the lovely weather. Watching the kids play with kids in the community and neighbors was the perfect way to end the day.

Park moments with my boys—pure joy!😍

Saturday: Easter Eggstravaganza 🥚🌸
Saturday was the highlight of our Easter break! Our HOA (Homeowners Association) hosted an Easter egg hunt and treat fest. We joined the fun at noon, where my daughter reunited with her daycare friends and found not one, but two golden eggs. The evening was wrapped up with a food truck event where we met new people in the community, made friends, and indulged in some good food. A win-win situation for all of us I must say because #GoodFood is what? #GoodMood #HappyToddler #HappyParents

While we hunt...

Golden Eggs = Happy Toddler🥳

Oh btw, I got some smoking hot pictures at the HOA and I love them all🔥

Behind-the-scenes: My daughter’s scooter, Easter goody bags, and my son’s cap scattered around—parenting reality! 😂

Sunday: Relax, Netflix, & Milestones 📺🎉
Sunday was our chill day. I braided my daughter’s hair for the week, did grocery shopping, and enjoyed some downtime with my husband, watching Nigerian movies and The Crown on Netflix. But the biggest moment? My son’s 6-month milestone! 🎉 We marked the day with a quick living-room photoshoot, and yes, I’m absolutely obsessed with him.

I could have 10 of him, but I’m fully satisfied with just this one!

Watching him grow fills my heart—it’s pure joy

Easter Monday: Family Time & Nostalgia 🎂👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
The final day of the break was all about family. My sweet niece turned 8, and we celebrated at my sister’s place. Due to restrictions, it was a small gathering, but we made the most of it with good food, laughter, and endless playtime for the kids.

My niece, who was my little bride at my wedding, is now 8—how time flies!

Our kids (aka the Irish twins) are growing up so fast.😍 #CousinsLove

My son wasn't left out btw. Just look at that hat😂

A Weekend to Remember 🌟
This Easter break reminded me of how much I value family, community, and the little joys of life. Even with restrictions, we managed to have a memorable time, proving that happiness can be found in the simplest moments.

As we step into a new season, I’m already looking forward to summer—no major plans yet, but I know it’ll be good (fingers crossed).

So yeah, that's a short recap of our Easter break. We are all well-rested and ready to get back to work and school.  That will be all from me today. I hope you had a good break as well either resting, catching up with friends, or celebrating with your family. Until next time, remember to stay positive...💋
