Our 2021 Easter Break Recap

Hi and welcome back to #WemsCorner. How was your Easter break? Mine was restful, fun filled and very activity packed. Y'all already know (& if you don't, now you know) that if it's memorable, I will definitely write about it. Today,I will be sharing a recap of our fun filled weekend and some of the things we were up to.

First of all, let me just say that all the activities were surrounded around our kids (well our toddler 😂). So when I said fun-filled, i'm literally saying "my daughter's activity packed weekend😂" (if you are a parent, i'm very sure, you can relate to this, hahahhaha😂). Anyhoo, with no further ado, let's get right into it

So, our holiday started on Good Friday (2nd of April) which also coincided with my niece and nephew's birthday (they are twins btw😍). We organized a zoom birthday party for them and it was fun while it lasted. We played some games and had a good laugh. Later in the evening, we went to the playground in our neighbourhood since the weather was really good and we also had a good time aswell with our neighbours and other kids in our community.

Saturday was the highlight of our Easter break. Our community which we call "the HOA" organized Easter egg hunt for the kids coupled with some Easter treats. So, we headed to the HOA building to find some Easter eggs at noon and also reunited with the kids & parents in our community. There is a huge playground in the HOA. My daughter had fun playing in the playground and she also reunited with some of her friends from her daycare that are living in our community. I loved that she had fun, reunited with her friends, found two golden eggs & got a goody bag. As little as it sounds, that definitely made her day. Later in the evening, the HOA organized a food truck for the community. So we went back to get some good food and relax. Yeah, that was how our Saturday went. We all had a good time, met new people, made some friends and most importantly, our lil toddler had a great time. A win-win situation for all of us I must say because #GoodFood is what? #GoodMood & #HappyToddler = #HappyParents

While we hunt...

Look who found two golden eggs

Oh btw, I got some smoking hot pictures at the HOA and I love them all🔥

Behind the scene of my smoking hot pictures was my daughter's scooter, Easter goody bags and my son's facecap all on the floor & i'm not even mad 😂 (this is the reality guyz)

Sunday was more of a chill & rest day for us. I had to make my daughter's hair for the week & we also did our regular grocery shopping. Myself and my husband watched a couple of Nigerian movies on Netflix aswell and also caught up with "the crown" (Netflix series that we are currently watching together). Oh, how did I forget that my son clocked 6 months on Sunday (my bad, hahahaha🙈😂). My son is officially a "mini toddler" and we did a quick photoshoot for him just in our living room. I loved every part of the photoshoot and I cherish my son so much. He is such a blessing and i'm so obsessed with him (well, my husband thinks so😝)

Just look at my son😍 I could have 10 of him but hey i'm extremely satisfied with this one😜. He melts my heart😍

Then came Easter Monday and the last day of the break😢. My sweet niece clocked 8 (she was my little bride at my wedding, how time flies) and my sister celebrated it for her. Due to the restrictions, it was just my sister's family and my family. We definitely had a good time. We ate good food, we took a lot of pictures and the kids played and played and played. We as parents also had a good time catching up and gisting about how life has generally been.

Just look at that transformation😍 (Almost 7 years difference)

My son wasn't left out btw. Just look at that hat😂

To be honest, as simple as this holiday recap is. I enjoyed spending that quality time with my family and meeting new people in my community. 2020 was one year that nobody really planned for & moving forward, I think everybody have sort of missed that normal life that we had before and ready to start again. There are still some restrictions here and there but we still managed to have some fun in our own lil' way while obeying all the rules and regulations.

So yeah, that's a short recap of our Easter break. We are all well rested and ready to get back to work and school.  To be honest, i'm looking forward to summer already. I don't have a lot of things planned yet but i'm definitely going to have a good summer this year (fingers crossed). That will be all from me today. I hope you had a good break aswell either resting, catching up with friends or celebrating with your family. Until next time, remember to stay positive...💋
