My First Pregnancy Tracker

Pregnancy I must say is super magical. I never expected the total transformation but I rocked it anyway😋. There is no better way to see the total transformation than taking a weekly or monthly picture of yourself and your bump which I tried my best to do. It was difficult to keep up with some weeks but I tried my best to do it anyway💃.

I started taking my weekly pictures from Week 8 and I stopped at week Week 37 because my baby arrived shortly after that. My pregnancy journey was an unforgettable period for me and I hope I will be able to recreate this for subsequent births (fingers crossed). Below are my top 5 tips for anyone trying to recreate a weekly/monthly pregnancy tracker 👇👇👇

a) Decide on the theme/badge you want to use: It took me time before I decided on the theme/badge I was going to use. I wanted something really simple, unique, universal and at the same time beautiful. I saw a lot of samples online but I decided to pick this one because:
    1) The colour will match whatever outfit I ended up picking
    2) It wasn't indicating if I would have a boy/girl except for the boy or girl badge
    3) It was free to download 😜 (who doesn't like free things anywayz)

I think I got this from Pinterest

b) Get a photographer, friend or your partner to take the pictures for you: My Husbae😍 was my PP (personal photographer) and he did a good job because we needed to work with natural light and that sometimes can be difficult because the sun wouldn't tell you when it will rise. The only drawback with my him being my PP is that the last few shots that I wanted him to appear didn't come out as nice as I wanted it to. We had to take ourselves and so many factors didn't make some of the shots come out nice but if you have a friend who takes good pictures, you might just use him/her anyway. Just make sure you are comfortable with whoever you decide to use because it is important you like whatever picture that you take.

Say hello to my handsome PP😛 aka Husbae😍

c) Have a particular day in the month that you would like to be taking the pictures: You can set alarm or just write it down. Sunday was the best day for me to take my pictures because:
    1) Husbae is always around on that day
    2) I am more relaxed on Sundays

d) Get a venue/location: It is important to get a nice venue or location so that there will be uniformity in all your pictures. For me, I took all the pictures at home and I had fun taking all the pictures. I ensured that I used the same background (I actually used a white wall) all through the shoot which made all mypictures have the same background except for the change in the hairdo😛

e) Pick a cloth or colour that you will use throughout the shoot: This I think was a mistake for me because I ended up not liking the clothe I picked. It worked well for my bump for the whole pregnancy but it didn't work well for my arms as most of my pregnancy weight lied in my arms so they really got so big at a point and I ended up not liking some of the pictures but I think I will work on that on my next pregnancy (that's if I have the strength to recreate it again🙈). Anyway for me, I was more concerned about the bump but I think it is important to pick a clothe or colour that will fit your whole body and bump area so that you will still be comfortable even when the pregnancy weight steps in.
My Signature Clothe 😃
Below is my weekly bump tracker. I hope you love them as much as I love them. Btw, the pictures are not meant to be perfect as you can see below that mine weren't way near perfect. The motive behind the bump shot is to see how your belly is growing weekly and also your body transformation.

Until next time...💋
