The first time I saw them, I honestly thought they were just a cute place to take a photo. But it turns out there's a little more to the story.
They're More Than Just Photo Props
The iconic red chairs are part of a Parks Canada program that encourages visitors to slow down, sit, and take in the view. Instead of rushing from one attraction to the next, the chairs invite you to pause for a few minutes and simply enjoy where you are.
They are either overlooking a turquoise lake, a mountain range, or a waterfall; each pair has been placed in a location that Parks Canada believes is worth stopping for.
Where Can You Find Them?
Today, you'll find Parks Canada red chairs in national parks and historic sites across the country. Some are easy to reach with just a short walk, while others require a little more effort, making them feel like a fun surprise when you finally spot them.

Why I Love Them
