Welcome back to #WemsCorner. Today’s post is a special one because it is all about my baby and sweet boy, Tade’s preschool graduation. I still cannot believe how fast this year went by. It feels like just yesterday we were packing his little backpack for his very first day of preschool, and now here we are, celebrating this beautiful milestone. It is amazing to watch my little baby of yesterday grow into his own person.
Preschool has been such a meaningful season filled with learning, laughter, and so many sweet memories. In today's post, I will be sharing my top five highlights. All the beautiful everyday moments that have now turned into memories. I can’t wait to look back at these memories one day and relive them through my blog (one of my favourite reasons for documenting our little moments, so they never fade away). That being said, let's dive right into my top five highlights
Career Day
Career day was the cutest thing ever! He proudly said he wanted to be a vet, which honestly wasn’t surprising. He has always loved everything dinosaurs and sharks, so wanting to be a vet wasn’t far-fetched at all.
Intercultural Day
Intercultural day was another beautiful memory. Everyone came dressed in vibrant outfits representing different cultures, and the kids had so much fun learning about each one.
Show and Tell
There were also a few show-and-tell days sprinkled throughout the year, and those quickly became some of his favourite days. He enjoyed picking something special from home to share with his classmates and always asked when the next one would be.
Pajama Day
Pajama day was another highlight! I just love it when kids are asked to dress up. It brings out so much excitement and joy for both the kids and mums who love dress-ups like me.
Preschool Field Trip
And of course, his school field trip to the fire station was one for the books. The kids had so much fun exploring, learning about fire safety, and seeing the big red trucks up close. You can read all about that fun day here!
Graduation day itself was such a mix of emotions. Seeing him in his little cap with that proud smile on his face truly warmed my heart. I am just so proud of how much he has learned, how confident he has become, and how beautifully he is growing.
My dearest Tade, if you ever read this one day, please know how much joy you bring into our lives. This preschool journey has been such a gift to witness, and I am beyond excited for what comes next. Kindergarten, here we come, and I already know you are going to shine in your own special way.
To his amazing teachers, thank you for creating a space filled with love, patience, and encouragement. And to every parent going through this chapter, I see you. These little milestones mean everything.
