We made our way to Heritage Park for our very first Day Out with Thomas, one of Heritage Park’s most popular events, and even though the rain decided to come along for the ride, it turned out to be such a sweet, cozy day for our little fam.
Today's post is all about what we got up to and the memories I created with my little ones.
What We Got Up To:

Rode the train pulled by Thomas — about 20 minutes around the park, and such a lovely ride

Got train ride certificates — so cute!

Met Sir Topham Hatt — iconic moment.

Explored the craft and activity tents — from crafts, games, face painting, tattoos, and so much more
Found shelter when needed and made the most of the drizzle — a few wet high-fives here and there 😂
Rainy Day Vibes
One of the things I truly appreciated was how well-prepared the event was for unpredictable Calgary weather. The activity tents were warm and inviting, offering a cozy escape from the rain. It turned out to be one of those drizzly days that felt more like an adventure than an inconvenience.

If you’re planning to attend Day Out with Thomas this year, here are a few tips to make the most of your visit:

🧡 With or without rain, Day Out with Thomas at Heritage Park was a great, simple, playful, and family-friendly activity that I will definitely recommend for parents with young kids like me. So if you’re still on the fence about booking yet, I would say go for it and create core memories.
