Life Update: Where have I been?

Whoosh...It's been a while on my favourite space, I know😓. Well, that was not the plan but my hands have been so full since April that I couldn't combine everything together so I had to take a mini break from writing BUT the good news is that i'm finally getting my groove back and i'm so happy to be back to my favourite space💃

First of all, I have to say that I missed my blog A LOT. I have been here a couple of times to read some of my articles and just reminisce on the good old days. Unfortunately, I had to let go of some of my favourite things to focus on the most important things for a while but guess what? The good news is that I wasn't totally off writing, I started a new baby here (yes, I started a new blog💃). You might not understand a lot of things in my new space but it's just me documenting some of the things I learnt while I was away & still learning. So even though I wasn't blogging as I used to, I have actually been there writing and just having so much fun. So anytime you miss me here, you know where to find me now 😉

Okay, life update right? what have I been up to?  why did I stop writing here? where have I been? I know. I have all the answers (maybe not😂). Well, i've been working on my career and personal development. Let me tell you a short story. Exactly 6 months into my maternity leave, I was accepted into a fast track (very fast) programme for 6 months. Oh my, that course was a lot for me (mind you, I had a 6 months old baby  at the time so I was basically combining maternity leave and school together 😓). I was totally drained. At a point, I was actually regretting the choice that I made and self doubting myself but even though it was tough and I had a lot of things going on in my head, I kept on pushing daily and decided not to give up until I get to the finish line. There were lots of sleepless nights (I still had to wake up midnights to feed my baby, read, do my assignments and prepare for tests). I still had to cater for my older girl, I mean life still had to continue amidst all. So, IT WAS A LOT (a whole lot actually) going on for those 6 months that I was away but I had a great support ❤️

My first day of school and my home desk set up😍

What some school days looked like😂

Also some days looked like this (we were literally school mates😂)

Can I just digress a little to appreciate my support system aka Dr Bae😍. My husband (oh my darling husband) was a great support. Honestly, I couldn't have done this without him because really how??? It's always the joint effort for me in our relationship and how we support each other through it all. I have to say that even though we didn't know what the outcome would be, the aim was to put in a 100% effort, no matter what happens (there was a big lesson for me right there too, never to settle for less. Keep striving, keep doing, one day, everything will come together) . It was tough (again, very tough) but at the end of it all, the pain and the stress truly worth it simply because shortly after I graduated I got a job (yes, your girl got a job, whoop whoop💃).

How cute is this picture of me and my best guy😍#Loveeettt

It's been a very surreal and fulfilling year for me. I cannot put everything down in words but I have to say it again and again that my success story isn't complete without my husband. He stayed with me, supported me, debugged my codes, advised me, coached me, woke up in the middle of the night with me to check my bugs (sometimes unwillingly😂 but he did it anyways). He was there every step of the way. He held my hands, he supported me, he took so many duties off me, he is my EVERYTHING and I don't know what I did to have this awesome guy in my life but hey he is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love him so much (maybe even more now). Yeah let's focus and not be too distracted from the topic (y'all know how obsessed I am with my little family🙈, they tickle my fancy and I love them a little bit too much)

My squad and team in one picture😍

What's better than one picture? Two I guess😍

Anyhoo, that is what has been going on for me but i'm so happy to say that, that phase is over and i'm officially starting a new phase. This new phase is going to be filled with a lot of learnings, ups and downs but, i'm actually here for all of it and more. I will definitely be documenting my journey as much as I can but I may not be as consistent as before.

That being said, I can't believe it's November like for real 2021 is almost over 🤭. I'm just here reminiscing over how fast this year has been and the things i've been able to tick off my wish list. Grateful for a good year even though it wasn't perfect (like loosing a loved one to the cold hands of death💔) but i'm still grateful for the wins. The truth is that no matter how much we try to have a perfect life, well,  life continues to show us that perfection is an illusion and we are all going to be here for a limited time. So while we are still here, keep striving, keep living and never stop loving. All in all. it's been a wonderful and stressful year for me but in all things, I choose to give thanks.

Btw lest I forget, while I was away my Mr sweet face and handsome son clocked the big one (can you believe that??? I have a whole one year old). I cannot actually believe it (maybe I do now, since my maternity leave is over😂).  I have to confess that I had to deal with a lot of mom guilt when it comes to my son because I didn't write as much as I did when I had my girl but I will never forget how supportive he was during my programme, he always stayed with me & we attended all my classes together😂. I'm dedicating my certificate to him for sure simply because he has been the best these passing months. Right now, he is growing so fast & doesn't want to be cuddled or carried for too long as before😉 but my kiddos will always be my baby no matter how fast they grow😘

Yeah, that it. That will be all from me for now. I'm so happy to be back to my favourite place after a long break. I hope to drop a couple of articles before the end of the year (God help me). Thank you so much for stopping by in my little favourite corner today and I hope to see you again. Until next time, remember that tough times never last, but tough people do...💋

Dropping this Elevator Selfie here to remember my first day of work (November, 2021) 😍
