5 Fun Facts About My 2 Year Old Daughter

This post is all about my little baby girl😍. She has grown so much on me that sometimes I worry if I can actually catch up but I feel so blessed to have her in my life. She has brought so much sunshine and happiness into my life & I don't think I would have had it in any other way. I know I'm getting so emotional but hey, I'm that kinda Mum..(did you just say "awww", yeah you did..lol). Okay let me not get you distracted, let's get right into the gist of the day.

So y'all remember when she clocked 2 and I wrote this lovely poem for her here? Yes, the twos are AMAZING. Disclaimer: I am not here to say it's easy, nah. Some days are difficult but the best days with her are way better than the "not so good days". Btw, kids grow so fast, this moment, they are babies and the next moment, they are already talking *deep sigh*. With no further ado, behold my top 5 fun facts about Teniola, my first daughter.

1. Her Dad is her favourite person: The truth is I remember when I use to see a lot of memes of "father-daughter" relationships online and I thought they were mostly exaggerations. Guyz, the connection is surreal (No, I'm not jealous, you are😜). One of the many things that my daughter does for her dad is that she will ALWAYS go to the front of the door when we come back from work/daycare and ask me "where is Dad'?. I mean she is only 2 years old and the fact that she already has that sense of being responsible for another person just melts my heart. When her Daddy finally opens the door, Tenten will be jumping and shouting "my daddy, my daddy". It's just so cute to watch this every freaking day😍. She does that for me too "sometimes" (yeah, I had to capitalize that. I mean somebody gets this every freaking day😜) but i'm always home before her dad anyways so I never get to experience this as much as her Dad does (just trying to console myself though)

Best Friends😍
Fun Fact: When we first got married, my husband use to tell me  "Babe, you cannot even come and open the door and hug me everytime I come back. Well, your daughter does it better now, okay? (No, i'm not jealous, I repeat, No i'm not😜)

Another Fun fact: Days when Teni (very rare days though) doesn't jump up to hug her daddy when he comes back, it low-key breaks her Dad's heart 😂 and that's when you will start hearing "O tie wa hug me leni (you didn't hug me today). I mean their relationship is so sweet to watch😍 and I'm not jealous😝

I mean just look at this two😂 (no DNA test required)
2. She is very shy like me: A lot of my friends do not believe that I am a shy person (or maybe I have now outgrown it). Right now, I "think" my daughter has taken that part of me. There is an in-house joke we make about me being a "loudspeaker" at home but "bluetooth" outside. So if you ever come across my girl and she is very quiet, just know she is a "bluetooth" outside and "loudspeaker" inside like her Mama "for now"😜

3. She loves bedtime stories: My daughter will literally go pick a book from the shelf. Shift your head away from the TV and force you to start reading her books. Not 1 or 2, sometimes 4-5😅. Well, I love the fact that she loves to read and also listens to us while we read to her. I hope she doesn't outgrow this because "readers are leaders" but that part of moving our head away from the TV is the funniest. In her voice "Mummy look, take, read"...That is the cutest thing ever😍

4. She doesn't drink milk, or any sugary snack/food: She is not lactose intolerant but she hates milk just like me. I don't also like to drink milk alone and I just recently started trying hot chocolate. But guess what?  She loves things like cucumber (k-ku-ba *in her voice* 😂), prawns (pluns😂) any kind of soup, spaghetti & recently chicken. She hates things like cakes, fried plantain (who doesn't like plantain), and even rice (like really, Teni, no rice)...Well, most of my friends said she will change as she grows, and I totally agree with them. This is because looking at where we are coming from to where we are now with food, I am so proud of us😍

5. Finally, Teni says the darndest things: Remember the show "kids say the darndest things". Well, I have a similar show going on in my house right now. Recently we scolded her for being naughty & guess what she told us? "Don't, that's not funny". What!!! Are you kidding me? Somebody, I popped out just yesterday🙆...😂 I don't even know where she learnt that from, but I'm guessing it must have been from school. She also says "Mummy, this is so cute, I love it"  (OMG😍, I mean she is only 2). She also says "Thank you, Mummy, "I love you"...All these words make my entire day. I mean that little girl completes my world.

Overall, kids are a blessing and I cherish every moment I have spent with my lil' one. They also grow so fast, please cherish EVERY moment you have with them (the good & not so-good days). Watching Teni grow right in front of my eyes has been surreal and I wouldn't have it in another way. Thank y'all for stopping by in my little corner as always. My daughter and I, hope to see you again soon...💋
